BRAIN INJURY

Brain Injury

The symptoms and severity level of brain injury can vary from mild dizziness and fatigue, to severe paralysis. Julie has over 25 years experience working with individuals of all levels of disability from brain injury. Testing typically occurs over 1-3 sessions, to be certain we gain thorough understanding of the effects of the brain injury on your movement. Strength, balance, walking, posture, endurance, spasticity/tone of muscles, and ability to move are all measured. Therapy sessions and home exercises are prescribed according to your tolerance to activity, current schedules, travel distance to the clinic, and symptom types. This can range from twice weekly to once monthly. Duration of therapy can range from weeks to months. Testing of outcome measures is done regularly so you see the results of your hard work in PT.
